International Cooperative Program

Kimpo College has many international cooperative programs for the students and faculty to experience globalization. The College has agreements with many well-known universities overseas that facilitate student and faculty exchange and joint research. The College established The International Education Center in 2000 to promote international cooperative programs. The College has also strived to broaden the dissemination of Korean studies outside of Korea through the publications of books on Korean Culture and other out-reach programs. The following programs are the key building blocks of Kimpo College's enduring commitment to internationalized education and research.

¢Ã Student Exchange

1. International summer and winter session:
A chance to study English or one's major at one of our sister schools during summer and winter sessions. Many students have participated in various kinds of programs which were held by our sister schools since 2000 such as CQU(Central Queensland University) International Music Camp and ESL at CQU. Ms. Hwasook Woo, a student of music department, said, "Joining the camp is one of the most valuable experiences I have ever had in my life." As the students' interests are becoming increasingly diverse, we are planning to send our students to sister schools in the USA, Japan, and other areas. More and more students have been able to broaden their academic and personal horizons through the College's exchange program.

2. Job Experience at Kimpo College for the students of sister schools:
Coordination of regular courses for foreign students at Kimpo College in order for them to get practicial skills and abilities in the work place. A Summer English Camp will be held at Kimpo College for the kids living in the Kimpo area. Some of the eligible students of our sister schools will be invited to have a job experience at Kimpo College. They will have extensive work experience in their field of study.
