In the Department of Music, students learn the basic theory of music. Students can choose to concentrate on instrumental music, music composition, orchestral music, popular music or computer music as their majors. Private lessons are provided to improve their musical skills. In addition, the Department of Music holds periodical concerts and recitals, allowing students to be equipped with qualifications and abilities as professional musicians. The Department of Music also provides courses on composition techniques for the music used in advertisements and multimedia with the use of computers.
